Rare Art Deco era bone china Copeland Spode tea set of a teacup, saucer and tea plate, styling with the unique Vienna Bird pattern. Circa 1940s. This particular version of Vienna Bird was introduced in 1938, featuring an exotic bird in bold colours as a subject of the centre with decorative festoons of colourful flowers and patterns. The pattern was first printed then handpainted. All three pieces are marked with Copeland Spode hallmark and design number RN no.552768.
The trio tea set is in fair vintage condition. There is a chip at the inner bottom of the cup, which is not noticeable when in use. There is a faded hairline crack on the tea plate.
