Wonderful vintage bone china trio set from Melba, a Stoke-on-Trent company, with a teacup, saucer and tea plate. Circa 1950s. This lovely trio set is adorned with unique hand-painted red flowers and green leaves as the main patterns, which are set off by beautiful gold festoons and black scallop designs outlined in red fine lines. The teacup has a simple floral pattern on the outside but the similar stunning pattern as the ones of saucer and tea plate on the inside. The edges of all pieces are lined with gold paint. All three pieces are marked with Melba hallmark and design number No.1518.
This trio tea set is in good vintage condition with slight wear and age. There are several faded yellow stains inside the cup but not too noticeable. There is a small grey stain on the saucer no bigger than 2mm. There is a missing part of the gold paint on the edge of the saucer.
